UAB Ekobana has installed the most powerful autotransformers in Lithuania for the electricity transmission network

In 2017, UAB „Ekobana“ won the tender for increasing the 330/110/10 kV capacity of the substation „Vilnius“ TP (purchase of new 300 MVA autotransformers with installation). A turnkey design and construction contract was signed, which obliged to carry out work to increase the capacity of the transformer substation in two years for more than 4 million Euros. The scope of work included preparation of a technical and detailed design, obtaining a building permit, supply of new 330/110/10 kV autotransformers with a capacity of 300 MVA (the most powerful autotransformers of this type in the LITGRID AB network), installation and testing after installation, installation and adjustment of the autotransformers’ monitoring system, replacement of other 110 kV equipment, as well as 110 kV overhead lines in a transformer substation, commissioning, putting into operation, as well as obtaining a construction completion certificate.

UAB „Ekobana“, responsibly fulfilling the contract (by supplying and installing two new autotransformers with a capacity of 300 MVA), has almost doubled the 330/110/10 kV capacity of the „Vilnius“ transformer substation.

The new autotransformers meet all the highest quality requirements to ensure a stable supply of electricity to the residents of Vilnius and to businesses.
